OmniWin 2026 is here. Formed ends straight from the 3D model.

Formed ends are among the most demanding parts in bevel cutting: a curved surface, pipe penetrations, and bevel angles that change continuously along the contour. Until now, parts like these could only be read into OmniWin as a 3D model via the native Autodesk Inventor import – in all other cases, the geometry had to be recreated through parameter entry.

With OmniWin 2026, the general 3D import supports formed ends directly. STEP, SolidWorks and Inventor files are read in, and OmniWin recognises the formed-end geometry within them: the domed shape, the pipe penetrations and the bevel information are derived automatically and processed into a nesting plan. Supported geometry types are DIN 28011 and DIN 28013.
